Fattoria di Piazzano

Extraordinary passion for the world of wine, unconditional love for their lands and their vineyards, a family deeply committed to work and a near to a century-old tradition, which has its roots in the middle of the last century: you can sum this all up in three words, “Fattoria di Piazzano”, family wine-growing company. It was exactly 1948, when the industrial entrepreneur Otello Bettarini fell madly in love with the hills south of Empoli, to the point of choosing to move permanently to these lands, deciding to undertake the wine business. After him, his nephew Riccardo continued the work of uncle Otello, developing, implementing and making known the wine of the “Fattoria di Piazzano”, even beyond national borders. At the end of the 90s, Riccardo was joined by his children, Ilaria and Rolando, who with the same pride and the same passion of the origins have chosen to continue the tradition begun a few decades earlier, currently holding firmly to the reins of the company. The company management is purely family-run, and each and everyone plays a specific role, being responsible for specific sectors. In the vineyard, the 34 hectares of vines on which the "Fattoria di Piazzano" can currently count are managed in a rigorous and careful manner, with the utmost respect for the environment, nature, ecosystem and biodiversity, in order to harvest healthy and genuine grapes. The fruit is rich and concentrated in every smallest organoleptic nuance. Both the native grapes and the international ones, in the cellar are always processed in pursuit of the highest quality standards, achieved by constantly trying to enhance everything that the territory and the vintage could do to shape the fruit. This way, a diverse and intriguing range of labels comes to life, capable of satisfying all tastes and palates. White "Pratile", rosé "Messidoro", red "Ventoso" Chianti "Rio Camerata", from Colorino to Syrah, without forgetting the Merlot and obviously without Sangiovese: “Fattoria di Piazzano” wines give certain satisfaction, speaking the language of the highest enological quality.
