Tasting Notes

In the glass it’s a beautiful intense ruby red. On the nose it opens with clear hints of ripe red plum and berries, followed by references to spices, bitter cocoa and tobacco. The palate is juicy and full-bodied, warm and fresh at the same time, supported by a well-worked tannic vein and long persistence.

Langhe Rosso DOC "Baccanera" 2019 - Lo Zoccolaio: Why we like it

It’s a blend in which the very Piedmontese Nebbiolo and Barbera meet with Cabernet, to create a taste of the Langhe called "Baccanera", a red wine produced on the estate of "Lo Zoccolaio" by the "Fratelli Martini".
It sits for 18 months in small French oak barrels. It comes from the lands of Barolo, but it breaks the rules of classic and traditional, offering at the same time great quality. It is a Rosso delle Langhe waiting to be discovered.
