SOUTH TYROL

The charm of Alpine wines

South Tyrolean wines are one of the most refined expressions of Italian mountain viticulture. Grown at altitudes between 200 and 1000 meters, these wines originate in a territory of extraordinary biodiversity, where unique microclimates and varied soils give rise to labels with great personality. The Alpine influence, with significant temperature variations between day and night, gives South Tyrolean wines freshness, elegance, and a distinct territorial identity.

Excellence in aromatic whites

South Tyrol is particularly renowned for its exceptional white wines. Gewürztraminer, the region's flagship grape variety, produces intensely aromatic wines, while Pinot Bianco and Chardonnay express unique minerality and finesse here. The picture is completed by excellent interpretations of Sauvignon, Riesling, Müller Thurgau, and Sylvaner, which together represent the extraordinary vocation of the territory for fresh, mineral, and long-lived white wines.

Mountain reds and Central European tradition

Although less well known, South Tyrolean reds deserve great attention. Lagrein, a native grape variety, produces structured and complex wines, while Pinot Noir finds one of its best Italian expressions in these highlands. Schiava (Vernatsch) offers light, easy-drinking reds that are perfect expressions of the local wine culture. This unique wine heritage bears witness to the perfect fusion of Central European tradition and Mediterranean passion, creating wines of extraordinary elegance and finesse.
