Falanghina Wine | Campania's Ancient White Treasure

From Ancient Rome to Modern Tables

Falanghina, one of Italy's most captivating white wines, traces its roots back to Roman times. This ancient variety flourishes in Campania's volcanic soils, particularly around Benevento and the Campi Flegrei, where mineral-rich terrain and Mediterranean breezes create perfect growing conditions.

Today's Falanghina wines capture the essence of southern Italy in every glass. The warm Campanian sun and volcanic soils produce wines with incredible aromatic intensity - think sun-ripened citrus, white peach, and delicate Mediterranean herbs. The distinctive mineral backbone, a gift from ancient volcanic soils, provides remarkable structure and complexity.

The coastal influence brings a refreshing salinity that perfectly balances the wine's natural richness. Notes of jasmine and orange blossom mingle with ripe pear and citrus, while the volcanic terroir imparts a distinctive smoky minerality on the finish.

Perfect Mediterranean Pairing

Falanghina's vibrant character makes it an ideal companion for seafood dishes. Its balanced acidity and subtle salinity perfectly complement grilled fish, seafood pasta, and fresh shellfish. The wine's aromatic profile also pairs beautifully with light poultry dishes and fresh Mediterranean vegetables.

Best served chilled at 8-10°C, Falanghina reveals its full complexity as it gradually warms in the glass, offering an evolving array of aromas and flavors that capture the essence of Campania's ancient winemaking heritage.
