Tasting Notes

Pale pink, with a soft froth and a fine, persistent perlage. Fresh and inviting in the nose, characterised by floral notes of linden blossom, citrus nuances of white peach and slightly spicy scents of green pepper. Tight in the mouth, crisp, vertical and very drinkable. A savoury trace accompanies it through to an excellently persistent finish. A great classic.

Pairings

Perfect as an aperitif, Contadi Castaldi's Rosé is an ideal Franciacorta for accompanying fish dishes.

Franciacorta Rosé DOCG - Contadi Castaldi (astuccio): Why we like it

Similar in concept to Contadi Castaldi's Brut, as in all the other products, Chardonnay plays a leading role. The result is a sparkling wine full of fragrance, never to be taken for granted; it prioritises smoothness and an accessible sensory language. Contadi Castaldi's Franciacorta DOCG Rosé is a sparkling wine with a balanced and versatile style, perfect for every occasion.

Brand

Contadi Castaldi: a young toast since 1987

The Contadi Castaldi winery perfectly encapsulates the history of Franciacorta, which, with its nineteen municipalities highly suited to exceptional agriculture, was already producing excellent wines in the 16th century. In fact, since 1500—the period of greatest splendor of the Republic of Venice—Franciacorta wines were destined for the tables of princes, kings, nobles, and wealthy merchants of the Serenissima.

The splendid city of Venice was a thriving market of choice for Franciacorta, a real springboard through which Franciacorta wines began to be known throughout the world.

The name is a summary of this ancient history: in the Middle Ages, the “contadi” were the counties of Franciacorta, while the “castaldi” were the lords of the counties who were entrusted with the governance of the lands.

Built by adapting what was once the old Biasca brickworks, the Contadi Castaldi winery is located in Adro, in the province of Brescia. It was founded in 1987 and, above all, established itself in just a few years thanks to the extremely high average quality of its sparkling wines.

Contadi Castaldi's Franciacorta wines

It all started with Satèn, a type of wine that has always been at the heart of the company's project, as well as a soft and velvety Franciacorta, which was gradually joined by other wines, all with great personality, gritty and energetic, fresh and lively.

From Satèn we move on to Brut, Rosé and Dosaggio Zero, and finally to the more POP labels, which include less traditional but equally intriguing and high-quality wines. Over 170 hectares of vineyards, cultivated by long-standing suppliers who have embraced the winery's innovative project and share its values. This is how this wine-growing heritage is reflected in the glass. Production currently stands at an average of 1,300,000 bottles per year: sparkling wines for sale online with absolute charm, which consistently impress with their complexity, structure, character, freshness, balance, and depth.
