Brad Pitt is the big name behind Château Miraval, an estate located in France, right in the heart of Provence, just a few kilometres from the ancient village of Correns.
Covering a total area of around sixty hectares, the estate is currently run by the Perrin family, another prominent name in the world of wine and winemaking, among the most important and renowned in the Rhône Valley and the Châteauneuf-du-Pape AOC.
Mourvedre, Cinsault, Grenache, Syrah and Counoise are the grape varieties grown on clay and limestone soils, which are interpreted into wines of the highest quality, among which the rosé undoubtedly stands out, not surprisingly the most typical and characteristic type of Provence.
Among the rows of vines, the utmost attention is paid to agronomy, and every decision is taken with respect for the environment, nature, the ecosystem and biodiversity. The primary objective is to maintain each individual plant in perfect balance, so as to harvest grapes that are pure, healthy, rich and concentrated.
In the winery, the philosophy followed is not very different from that applied in the vineyard, so that the search for the highest quality standards is constant, as is the continuous enhancement of the raw material, which is exalted during the winemaking process, emphasising everything that the season and the territory have brought to the fruit.
The labels bearing the name “Miraval” are certainly glamorous and stylish, but at the same time they are synonymous with wines that are produced in accordance with the most ancient local traditions, bringing to the glass the true essence of a territory that, when it comes to wine, certainly has a lot to offer.
