GOSSET

A story that dates back to the distant 16th century, specifically to 1584, when Pierre Gosset, in Aÿ, a French commune in the Marne department, began his career as a winegrower, producing still wines, mostly red, made exclusively from grapes harvested in his own vineyards.
In the 18th century, also in Aÿ, the first sparkling wines began to be produced, essentially the ancestors of what are now the Gosset-labelled Champagnes.
With vineyards almost entirely classified as Grand Cru and Premier Cru, Maison Gosset remained a family business for fourteen generations, until 1994, when it was sold to the Cointreau family.

Today, the winery is based in Epernay, but the philosophy remains the same as it was at the beginning: without compromising on the latest winemaking equipment, the oldest and most deeply rooted local traditions are strictly observed.
Among the rows of vines, agronomic choices are careful and thoughtful, aimed at maintaining the balance of the environment, nature and ecosystem, while at the same time keeping the plants in perfect health.
In the cellar, every step of the production process is followed with extreme rigour, almost obsessively, in order to guarantee the highest possible quality standards.

This is how Gosset Champagnes are produced, renowned throughout the world and famous above all for their natural fruity freshness, which is maintained by strictly avoiding malolactic fermentation in order to enhance the fragrant aroma of the grapes. Champagnes labelled Gosset are therefore of extraordinary quality: from Brut “Excellence” to “Grande Réserve”, from Grand Blanc de Blancs to Grand Rosé, including vintage wines and “Petite Douceur”, right up to Extra Brut “Celebris”, all Champagne labelled “Gosset” are worth much more than their price. Quality Champagne, simply excellent Champagne, among the best wines available online at Tannico.
