Toscana Chardonnay IGT “Fabrizio Bianchi” 2022 - Castello di Monsanto

This straw-coloured white wine with gold undertones is rich with floral and fruity aromas and notes that recall wildflowers, chamomile, ripe Golden Delicious apples, pineapple and peach. Whereas in the mouth it is flavourful and elegant with a fruity aroma and whose long finish hints at citrusy undertones.

This wine pairs especially well with fish or vegetable-based dishes and is a definite must-try with tuna and bell pepper risotto.

In 1980, Fabrizio Bianchi set out to create a white wine with great personality by exploiting the Chardonnay grape on the Valdigallo vineyard which extends over 3.5 hectares of land some 260 meters in altitude. From there, Bianchi’s bold white wine is born, bottled, and left to age for two years before being put on the market. Castello di Monsanto’s 2013 “Fabrizio Bianchi” Tuscan Chardonnay IGT has great aging potential and is perfect for drinking even years after the grapes are first harvested.
