Torre Mora

Etna is certainly one of the most interesting areas in the international wine scene. In particular, the combination of altitude and strong temperature variations is proving invaluable given the evident climate change. The other fundamental element that makes the volcano unique is the soil, an inexhaustible source of minerals. In this context, of exceptional beauty and undisputed winemaking vocation, stands Torre Mora, the Sicilian company owned by the Piccini family that boasts 15 hectares of vineyards, located between the municipalities of Castiglione di Sicilia and Linguaglossa, on the north side of Etna. Organic farming, high planting density and low yields are the basic ingredients of the production that has always aimed at quality and territorial expressiveness. Torre Mora's philosophy is reflected in the symbiotic relationship between grape variety and territory: the protagonists of the story are the symbolic varieties of the area, namely Nerello Mascalese, Nerello Cappuccino and Carricante. The range includes the three still versions currently provided for by the Etna DOC production specification, white, rosé and above all red. Wines with a unique character, which best represent the strength and elegance typical of the volcano.
