Tasting Notes

Intense ruby red to the eye. Floral notes of lavender and violet get the nose started, which perceives next hints of cherry and plum. The mouth is smooth and harmonious, enveloping and balanced. Good persistence and slightly balsamic finish.

Soft and persistent, elegant and with an enveloping personality. The "Contesa dei Venti" is a Nero d'Avola di Vittoria produced by the iconic Sicilian winery Donnafugata. It’s processed in such a way as to enhance its varietal and territorial characteristics; it’s left to rest for eight months in steel and then completed with seven months of bottle refining. It’s a Nero d'Avola without smudging.
