Tasting Notes

Intense ruby red with violet reflections. The bouquet offers a direct experience of the land in which the notes of cherry, black sour cherry, strawberry and raspberry blend well with the typical aromas of wood. On the palate the wine is supple and full-bodied with silky tannins. It is vibrant, graceful and distinguished by a long sapid persistence.

Pairing

Throughout the meal, it pairs well with all the typical dishes of Tuscany, from the soups to the rich first courses. Excellent with a plate of pappardelle al ragù.

Chianti Classico Gran Selezione DOCG “Badia a Passignano” 2010 - Antinori: Why we like it

“Badia a Passignano” Gran Selezione is produced exclusively from the selection of the best grapes from the property of the same name located in the Chianti Classico region. A genuine milestone of the appellation, a red wine that every year represents one of the excellent products of the Antinori family. The wine is matured for at least 14 months in barriques and for at least 16 months in the bottle. The result is a wine of great intensity complexity and balance. A great Chianti Classico.
